Job Summary
Paralegal I, Election Protection Hub — provide legal filing, organization, research, and administrative support to PRP’s EPH team of attorneys. Responsible for assembling, formatting, and submitting court and governmental filings, calendar management, basic legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis, cite-checking/Bluebooking, and coordinating remote-team workflows and documents. Supports urgent litigation efforts (evening/weekend work with notice), contributes to grant proposals/reports, and helps manage communications with external cohorts using tools like Asana, Zoom, and Office 365 in a fully remote environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years of paralegal or legal assistance experience.
- Experience formatting, cite checking, and filing briefs and other litigation materials in federal or state court.
- Experience creating tables of contents and tables of authority for briefs in Microsoft Word.
- Experience with federal court filing systems, including PACER.
- Experience with proactive project management and managing up/reporting to a number of stakeholders.
- Experience working in both remote and in-person legal or professional environments is highly valued.
