Job Summary
Responsible for supporting attorneys in litigation case preparation and management. Obtain, review, analyze, and summarize legal documentation and schedule depositions. Track document requests, review files, and document case status updates. Engage in discovery and trial preparation, prepare draft discovery documents, and maintain an expert database. Must communicate effectively with diverse groups and demonstrate strong organization skills. Requires a bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience, with a minimum billing requirement of 140 hours per month.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an associate’s degree or certified paralegal education
- 3+ years of experience
- Impeccable integrity in confidential matters
- Accurate typing ability of 45 wpm
- Comprehensive computer and office equipment experience
- Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, and attention to detail skills
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of legal principles and practices
- Knowledge of the various courts, their rules and filing requirements
Additional Requirements
- Work may require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties
- Work may require traveling to offsite locations
- Under certain circumstances, experience may substitute for educational requirements
