Job Summary
Prepare correspondence to other parties' solicitors, draft pleadings, and compile medical and liability schedules. Create pre-court PIPA documentation, brief counsel and experts, and conduct legislative case research. Organize service providers for hearings, book medical appointments, and manage court communications. Assist with client presentations, process invoices, and maintain the Actionstep database. Attend court to file documents and organize archive collections. This 2-3 year law student role is casual, with availability for 2-3 days per week in the Sydney office.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 year law student
- availability to work 2-3 days per week on a casual basis
- Sound level skills in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Nitro Pro
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must consent to HBA Legal conducting background checks
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in similar role in a law firm or professional services environment
- Previous experience supporting matters across property liability, public liability, or personal injury
- Experience with Actionstep or equivalent Practice Management systems
- Experience in the Insurance sector
