Paralegal - General Liability - Insurance Defense

Job Summary
Paralegal supports attorneys in all phases of litigation and case management. Responsibilities include drafting legal memoranda, pleadings, subpoenas, discovery demands and responses, drafting and processing correspondence; organizing and processing records and invoices; following up on outstanding records; preparing answers and legal correspondence; managing a large caseload while supporting multiple attorneys; reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; conducting case law research using Lexis Advance; assisting with mediation and trial preparation; retrieving and saving documents in the firm’s document management system. Required: minimum 3 years of paralegal experience, familiarity with state courts and e-filing, drafting legal documents and managing billing, proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word), strong multitasking and deadline management, experience with Aderant Total Office (ATO) and NetDocs preferred, Lexis Advance for legal research.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a practice group paralegal
- Familiarity with state courts, including e-filing procedures
- Experience in drafting legal documents and managing billing processes
- Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Word
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Experience with Lexis Advance for legal research
