Job Summary
General Liability Paralegal at Cipriani & Werner P.C. (Woodbridge Office, Iselin, NJ) supporting defense litigation. Responsibilities include independently preparing subpoenas, reviewing and summarizing discovery responses and medical records, coordinating Independent Medical Examinations, calendar management, drafting motions to compel and sanctions, and performing verdict/docket/social media/background searches. Requires paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of defense-paralegal experience, with NJ/NY experience and NY NYCHA/E-track and NJ ECourts/PACER preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred. Hybrid work arrangement; salary range $70,000-$85,000; comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, mentorship, and supportive work environment.
Required Qualifications
- paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree
- minimum of 5 years of experience as a defense paralegal
- experience working NJ and NY cases; NY NYCHA/E-track filing system, NJ ECourts and PACER preferred
- experience in related defense areas (e.g., commercial motor vehicle defense, UM/UIM, premises liability, construction accident, product liability) preferred
- proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software
- strong communication, time management, and organizational skills, ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment
