Paralegal – Complex Litigation

Job Summary

Manage litigation files from case inception through trial, maintaining calendars and coordinating filings in California state and federal courts. Conduct legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis to draft pleadings, correspondence, and memoranda while responding to written discovery including interrogatories and requests for production. Assist attorneys in preparing motions, coordinating depositions, and organizing trial exhibits and binders for submission. This role supports attorneys handling high-exposure complex litigation, insurance defense, and personal injury cases within a collaborative mid-sized law firm.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in litigation
  • Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and court rules
  • Experience with California court e-filing systems
  • Proficiency with Westlaw and/or LexisNexis
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
