Job Summary
Draft purchase and sale agreements, correspondence, and memoranda for commercial real estate transactions, including multi-family and multi-state deals. Review loan commitment letters, draft checklists, and prepare pre- and post-closing packages while coordinating title, survey, zoning, insurance, and due diligence materials. Handle e-recording, address recording issues, and manage document transmittals to clients. Collaborate with the Finance Department on incoming and outgoing financial transactions and complete a minimum of 1400 billable hours annually. Work in a hybrid schedule across Connecticut offices, supporting institutional lenders and corporations in financing, sale, and purchase activities.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years legal experience working in commercial real estate transactions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Complete a minimum of 1400 billable hours annually
- Are comfortable working in the office on a hybrid schedule
Desired Qualifications
- bachelor's degree (preferred)
- paralegal certificate (preferred)
- Experience with MS office and expertise with computer assisted legal resources
- Sound judgment and a sense of accountability for working independently and proactively
- Exceptional oral and written communication, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style
- Excellent multitasking and time management abilities
- Superior client service and listening skills for anticipating needs of clients and attorneys
- Exhibit the ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
