Job Summary
Review court dockets, pull filings from PACER, and conduct document searches, background investigations, and litigation history checks. Draft written discovery for attorney review, summarize opposing responses, and prepare timelines. Download productions, tag documents in review platforms, redact files, Bates label, and coordinate uploads while ensuring ESI compliance. Prepare privilege logs, witness packs, and exhibit materials for depositions, hearings, and trials. Manage calendars to meet monthly billing requirements and discovery deadlines. This role supports the trial defense litigation team, requiring 7+ years of litigation experience and trial preparation expertise.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of litigation experience
- Miami based
- Trial defense litigation team support
- Busy, stimulating and fast-paced team environment
- 7-10 years litigation experience
- Insurance litigation background
- Strong organizational, oral and written communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to learn quickly and perform in a fast-paced environment
- Experienced with e-filing and e-service in multiple jurisdictions
- Creative problem solver who takes initiative to accomplish tasks with a minimal level of supervision
- Experienced with a variety of computer applications, document review platforms, and internet programs: Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel), Outlook, FileSite, Relativity, Westlaw and/or Lexis
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate
- Defense Litigation including insurance defense experience, construction defect(s), bodily injury, premises liability and complex litigation
- Trial experience
- Trial preparation experience
