Job Summary
Paralegal position in the Pathways to Public Safety Division supporting Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs) with a full range of duties including drafting orders and subpoenas, preparing defendant files for problem-solving court dispositions, investigating criminal histories across jurisdictions, maintaining case-tracking spreadsheets, taking notes during interviews, and handling administrative tasks such as calendar management and inter-unit coordination. Requires a Bachelor's degree and relevant paralegal/criminal justice experience; strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Acrobat, Excel), excellent organizational, written and verbal communication abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm, with eligibility for transfer/promotion considerations for current staff.
Required Qualifications
- Level 1: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
- Level 2: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and one year of experience either as a paralegal in the criminal justice field or equivalent.
- Level 3: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and two years of experience either as a paralegal in the criminal justice field or equivalent.
