Job Summary

Interview survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault to intake new cases, present cases at weekly acceptance meetings, and provide litigation support including drafting discovery and pleadings. Participate in outreach and trainings at community agencies, offer advice and referrals to individuals not accepted as clients, and assist with investigations. Maintain case files, track data for grant reporting, and perform administrative tasks under Supervising Attorneys. Requires residency in the Chicago metropolitan area; full-time role with immediate start.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Good organizational and information-gathering skills
  • Strong and versatile computer skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Residency in the Chicago metropolitan area of Illinois or Northwest Indiana

Desired Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Spanish fluency
  • Direct experience with communities we serve
  • Perspectives that help us understand and serve our clients better
