Job Summary
Paralegal role supporting DOJ-related litigation at CACI; duties include litigation support, document preparation and filing with courts, depositions, witness interviews, in-courtroom assistance, and collaboration with DOJ attorneys. Requires paralegal certificate or JD or status as ABA-accredited law student, experience in litigation support, familiarity with legal research tools (LEXIS, Westlaw), and ability to work in an office setting with up to 10% travel. Salary set by SCA with minimum hourly wage of $25.38, converted to annualized compensation. Office location in Brooklyn, NY; incumbent must be a US citizen for DOJ MBI clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study
- One year of legal training or legal experience or at least two years of college education may be substituted for the paralegal certificate
- At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience (as related to the task order) is required; trial experience very helpful
- Basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal citation to cite check legal motions and memorandum; experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
- Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure; DOJ MBI must be obtainable (US Citizenship required)
- Experience with Relativity software is desired
- Document review experience is desired
