Job Summary

Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and correspondence using word processing and legal software. Format, proofread, and edit these documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with court rules. Assist with case file organization, indexing, filing, and retrieval of legal documents. Conduct legal research using online databases to gather statutes and precedents, then summarize findings to support case evaluation and argument development. Coordinate court filings, document service, and delivery of subpoenas and discovery requests. Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and third parties by managing communication, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings and depositions. Provide responsive assistance to clients with inquiries and status updates while maintaining strict confidentiality of privileged communications. Manage calendars, track deadlines, and prepare expense reports and billing statements. Maintain compliance with legal requirements and document retention policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or Legal Studies
  • Proven experience in a legal environment, law firm, or corporate legal department
  • Proficiency in legal research methods, citation formats, and online research tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and legal software applications
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and litigation processes
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based
  • Must be willing to submit up to a LEVEL II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint
  • Must be willing to submit to drug screening
