Job Summary
Assist in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and subpoenas, while filing documents in state and federal courts. Support attorneys in managing litigation cases from inception to resolution, including expert retention and case calendar management. Coordinate discovery by drafting requests, organizing documents, and preparing productions. Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations, and assist with trial, hearing, and arbitration preparation by organizing exhibits and coordinating with witnesses. Maintain and organize both electronic and physical case files for accuracy and accessibility. This role requires regular in-office attendance at the Cleveland office.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department, preferred
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents, legal research, and applying litigation procedures
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
- High attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential matters
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case/document management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, demonstrating initiative and reliability
- Regular and predictable in-office attendance; remote or hybrid work is not available
