Job Summary
Support students in the classroom and provide one-on-one assistance with specific learning needs. Build relationships with students and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement behavior and academic plans. Work daily shifts from 7:30 to 2:30 or 7:45 to 2:45, including personal, sick, emergency, and bereavement leave. Maintain an Associate's degree, 48 undergraduate credits, or pass the ParaPro test. Join the St. Johnsbury School District community serving 550 students across preschool through grade 8.
Required Qualifications
- experience working with and building relationships with students
- willingness to work on teams of professionals (including classroom teachers, special educators, physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech language pathologist, behavior specialist, etc.)
- ability to follow behavior and academic plans
- Associate's Degree
- 48 hours of undergraduate credits
- passed the ParaPro test or an equivalent basic skills assessment
