Job Summary
Prepare for classroom activities under supervision of certified teachers and assist with instructional duties. Support non-instructional tasks including feeding, toileting, clothing management, and transitions between classrooms. Perform clerical work for assigned teachers and address individual student needs as required. Complete Paraprofessional training, CPR certification, and Oklahoma Tier II certification. Work a 7-hour day for 174 days in LEAP, RISE, LIFE, or ABLE settings. Reports to Principal, Assistant Principal, and Teacher.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
- 48 college hours, associate's degree, or be able to complete WorkKeys tests within 60 days of hire date
- Will be required to successfully complete Paraprofessional training provided by the district
- CPR Certification
- Oklahoma Tier II Paraprofessional Certification
