Job Summary
Paraeducator Specialist-Library role supports instructional activities in the library/computer lab, including instructing students, assisting with assessments and records, preparing instructional materials, maintaining confidentiality, and supervising students during various school activities. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, plus AA degree or 60 college credits (ParaPro) and successful background checks; CPI/First Aid CPR certification may be required. Ten-month, full-time role with 40 hours/week (Mon-Thu, 10 hours/day) and eligible medical benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- AA degree, 60 college credits from an accredited university, or satisfactory results on an Arizona state-approved competency exam (ParaPro)
- Satisfactory criminal background check
- May require First Aid/CPR certification and/or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
