Job Summary
Paraeducator supports students with special education needs on bus routes at Tracey Elementary School during the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include implementing IEP/504 goals, following district health and safety policies, and assisting with behavior management and data collection. Work closely with the special education teacher, bus drivers, and transportation staff to ensure safe boarding/departure of students, and to support independent living skills and community-based activities. Must be able to follow oral or written directions, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff. Requires High School diploma or equivalent and ParaPro Certificate; Bachelor's/Education-aligned degrees are preferred. Schedule is Monday through Friday (37.5 hours weekly) during the August-June work year; salary range is $25.74-$30.68 per hour. Spanish language ability and experience with students with high-management needs are preferred. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalency
- ParaPro Certificate
- Two (2) years of experience working with children or young adults in a school setting, preferred
- Bachelor's Degree, Preferred
- Associate's Degree in education or related field or ParaPro Certificate or two (2) years of college required
- Fluency in Spanish may be required
