Job Summary
Paraeducator Special Education at Wilson Elementary School (Anoka-Hennepin Schools) provides classroom support across mainstream, resource room, or center-based settings. Responsibilities include assisting instruction for students with disabilities, managing behavior, monitoring and recording student progress in academics and daily living skills, and assisting with students' physical needs (including toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting, positioning, and wheelchair transportation). Minimum qualifications require a High School Diploma or equivalent, Personal Care Assistant certification within 30 days of start, and 60 credits/associate degree or ParaEducator/ParaPro exam. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $23.95 per hour (with K-12 experience) and higher rates for AA/AS or BA degrees, plus potential site-based percentage bonuses. Start date is 8/31/26; health insurance benefits available for 6+ hour/day roles. All applicants must complete the district online application.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Good communication/interpersonal/recordkeeping skills
- Ability to lift minimum of 40 pounds
- Ability to work in building (in-person)
- Experience with K-12 education settings preferred
- Experience with technology and data collection preferred
