Job Summary
Paraeducator in Special Education in Anoka-Hennepin Schools. Full-time role (184 days, 6.5 hours/day) supporting students with disabilities across mainstream, resource room, or center-based settings. Responsibilities include managing behavior, monitoring and recording student progress in academics and daily living skills, and assisting with physical needs such as toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting, and transporting students in wheelchairs. Requires completion of Personal Care Assistant certification within 30 days of start. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and either 60 credits or an associate degree (or higher) from a regionally accredited institution or passing the ParaEducator/ParaPro exam. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $23.95/hour (base) and higher with AA/AAS or BA degrees, with special add-ons for center-based or transition program locations.
