Job Summary
Paraeducator Special Education at Lincoln Elementary School (Anoka-Hennepin) provides support in instruction for students with disabilities across mainstream, resource room, and center-based settings. Responsibilities include behavior management, monitoring and recording student progress across academics, daily living skills, dressing, grooming, and social skills; assisting with physical needs (toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting, transporting students in wheelchairs); ensuring safety and daily operations within the classroom; and collaborating with staff to support individualized education plans. Qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, and certification as a Personal Care Assistant within 30 days of start; 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits or an associate degree (or higher) or passing ParaEducator/ParaPro exam; strong communication, interpersonal, and data-recordkeeping skills; ability to lift 40 pounds; and ability to work with technology and staff. Start date is 8/31/26; insurance benefits available for positions of 6+ hours/day. Pay ranges from $20.00/hour to $25.95/hour depending on experience and degree, with additional shift-premiums for certain program assignments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
