Job Summary
Paraeducator supporting the instructional program in a PreK setting, with responsibility for supervising, caring for, and instructing students with special needs; assisting in implementing instructional plans; monitoring student behavior; and conveying information to appropriate school personnel. Reports to the Principal and Assigned Teachers. Terms of Employment: 187 days.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or successful completion of 48 hours of study at a regionally accredited institution of higher education or WORKKEYS test
- Good physical health and ability to lift and implement behavioral management programs
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Alternative to above qualifications as acceptable to the Board of Education
