Job Summary
Support the instructional program in assigned classrooms by assisting in the supervision, care and instruction of students with special needs; assist in implementing instructional plans; monitor student behavior; provide information to appropriate school personnel. Requires an associate’s degree (or 48 hours of study) or WORKKEYS, good physical and emotional health with ability to lift, and effective interpersonal communication skills; alternatives to the above qualifications may be deemed acceptable. Reports to the Principal and Assigned Teachers; term of employment is 187 days.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold an associate’s degree (or) have completed a minimum of 48 hours of study at a regionally accredited institution of higher education (or) have successfully completed the Alabama State Board of Education approved WORKKEYS test.
