Paraeducator - Instructional Elementary Grades K-5

Meet regularly with the teacher for planning and evaluating student progress, assist in developing learning activities, and prepare appropriate stations and materials under the teacher's direction. Guide students in collaborative work, provide escort and assistance as necessary, and supervise students during trips and school-related activities. Reinforce learning with audio-visual aids, maintain neat study areas, and support parent-planned events. Collaborate with co-workers, students, and community members while following policies of the St. Mary's County Public School System. This ten-month, seven-hour role supports instructional needs for Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5 at Benjamin Banneker Elementary School.
