Job Summary
Paraeducator-Independence Facilitator provides individual behavior intervention and medical support to students in classroom settings and assists teachers with instruction and classroom management in both special and general education environments (including lunchroom and play field). The role requires supporting student learning in small groups or one-on-one, assisting with reading, writing, and mathematics instruction, and ensuring safety and compliance with district policies. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (with 48 college credits or competency assessment as substitution) and may require a valid driver’s license; CPR/First Aid certification may be required. Benefits available for employees working 4+ hours per day. Location: Las Palmas Elementary, Sacramento, CA. 7 hours/day, 5 days/week; 182 work days/year. Salary range: $21.24-$28.08 per hour, leading to annualized $44,179-$58,406 depending on experience. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
