Job Summary
Assist teachers in achieving classroom objectives by reinforcing learning for all students, including those with disabilities, through individual and small group instruction. Provide routine clerical support, monitor and supervise students during absences, play periods, and dismissal, and serve as the primary resource for substitute teachers. Maintain a safe learning environment by addressing disruptive behaviors and participate in IEP planning and meetings. Operate office equipment and complete required job-related training while upholding ethical standards and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to interact with students, staff, and members of the community in a pleasing and positive manner
- Ability to effectively handle issues utilizing a personable problem solving approach
- Capable of working collegially with all levels of administration and staff
- Ability to prioritize the needs and requests of students and teachers within the school setting and respond in a professional and efficient manner
- Demonstrated proficiency in essential computing applications
- Current BCI with fingerprinting
