Job Summary
Paraeducator for Cross Categorical (including ELL) support at Bartlett High School. Provide instructional and behavioral support under direct supervision of a certified staff member; implement individual or small group instructional lessons; assist with IEP-goals, behavior programs, and documentation; collaborate with the classroom teacher, prepare materials, and escort students within the building. Position is 10 months, 7 hours per day. Requires a Para Educator license (or provisional/alternatives) and is eligible for a license per district requirements. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Lift and transfer of students up to 50 pounds may be required. Salary established by union agreement: minimum $20.23/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Para Educator License or eligible (Para Educator License required)
- Minimum 60 semester hours of college coursework or passing ETS Para Pro exam or two specific Work Keys exams (Para Pro eligibility)
- Bilingual - Spanish/English preferred
