Job Summary
Support the instructional program within assigned classrooms by assisting in the supervision, care, and instruction of students with special needs. Implement plans for instruction and monitor student behavior while providing information to appropriate school personnel. Maintain good physical and emotional health to lift students and execute behavioral management programs for varying ages and sizes. Report to the Principal and Assigned Teachers. Employment lasts 187 days.
Required Qualifications
- associate's degree
- 48 hours of study at a regionally accredited institution of higher education
- Alabama State Board of Education approved WORKKEYS test
- Good physical and emotional health
- ability to lift
- ability to implement behavioral management program with students of varying ages and sizes
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
