Job Summary
Transports passengers including seniors and developmentally disabled individuals in appropriate transit vehicle; operates wheelchair lift; ensures passenger safety and proper seating; maintains vehicle cleanliness; completes daily reports and condition checks; adheres to schedules; uses two-way radio; handles maps and basic arithmetic; works evenings, weekends, and holidays; requires valid Commercial A or B license with passenger endorsement (P); CPR/First Aid training; background checks; training and compliance with safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Commercial A or B license with passenger endorsement (P)
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required certifications within 30 days of hire
- Possess and maintain a valid commercial A or B license with passenger endorsement (P)
- Maintain California driver’s license, auto insurance, and meet insurance requirements
- Pass background investigation including medical exam, DOJ fingerprint clearance, TB clearance and child abuse index
- CPR and First Aid training within six months of hire
- Pass drug and alcohol testing prior to employment; subject to ongoing testing
