Job Summary
Paraeducator IV in Special Education at Pound Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. 7:45am–3:15pm, 183 days (7 hours) with a 30-minute lunch. Responsibilities include supporting students with life skills, behavioral and communication challenges, and personal care needs; building strong relationships with students; delivering quality feedback; collaborating with multiple team members; upholding a restorative approach aligned with the school’s mission. Eligible for veterans’ preference. Salary: $21.30/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Paraprofessional or equivalent qualification in Special Education preferred
- Experience working with students with special needs is advantageous
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple team members
- Ability to handle personal care needs (bathrooming, hygiene) as required by students
- Ability to follow behavior plans and restorative practices
- Availability during the 2026-2027 school year
- 7:45am-3:15pm schedule includes 30-minute lunch
- Salary is $21.30/hour for 183 days of work per school year
