Job Summary
Paraeducator role supporting School Psychologist in a Kansas school district. Responsibilities include assisting with IEP timelines and SPED paperwork, coordinating with teachers and specialists, gathering assessment data, maintaining student records, preparing written materials, and scheduling Evaluation/Reevaluation meetings with parents and staff. Requires data handling, familiarity with IEP processes, ability to maintain confidentiality, teamwork, meeting deadlines, and ongoing collaboration within a district setting. Education background includes high school completion with equivalency options and district-specific paraeducator requirements including potential 48 college credits or state assessment; 20 hours in-service annually and non-exempt status in salary band. Office-based role with standard clerical duties and strong organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Equivalency: 48 college credit hours OR state-approved Paraeducator Assessment
- Experience or ability to perform SPED-related paperwork and data gathering
- Ability to schedule and participate in IEP-related meetings
- Knowledge of basics of grammar, punctuation, and office software
- Regular attendance and confidentiality
