Job Summary
Para II Center Based Resource assists in supervising, caring for, and instructing students with special needs in regular, resource, or self-contained classrooms. Responsibilities include adapting and providing accommodations to activities, assisting with instruction under teacher direction, supporting personal care needs, attending in-service trainings, collaborating with staff on IEP goals, implementing behavioral plans, managing student behavior, and maintaining instructional materials and data sheets. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and ability to support a diverse student population with safety and confidentiality in a school setting; CPR/education strategy training and Title I assessment experience may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass Title I assessment if applicable (as per building level)
- Background clearance may be required
- CPR/first aid training may be required
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform physical tasks as described
