Job Summary
Para II Center Based Resource role provides supervision, care and instruction to students with disabilities in regular, resource, or self-contained classrooms. Responsibilities include adapting and providing accommodations to activities and materials under teacher direction, assisting students with personal care needs, supporting social and behavioral skill development, participating in meetings and professional development, collaborating with staff to implement IEPs, applying behavioral plans, maintaining instructional materials and data sheets, and ensuring a safe, structured learning environment aligned with state requirements and district policies. Skills emphasized include classroom support, crisis intervention and safety practices, data recording, communication with diverse teams, and supporting students in academics, daily living, and social skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- If the elementary school building is Title I, 48 hours of college credit or the ability to pass the Title 1 assessment test is required
