Job Summary
Assists in supervision, care and instruction of students with special needs in regular, resource, or self-contained classrooms; assists in implementing instructional plans and IEP goals; monitors student behavior; provides information to appropriate school personnel; performs classroom clerical tasks; adapts accommodations to activities; aids students in and out of the classroom; supports personal care needs and safety; collaborates with certified staff to meet IEP goals; maintains instructional materials and data sheets; participates in meetings and trainings to meet state requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 48 hours of college credit or the ability to pass the Title I assessment test
