Job Summary
Assist in supervising, caring for, and instructing students with special needs in regular classroom or resource settings; implement instructional plans, monitor behavior, provide information to school staff, and perform classroom clerical tasks. Adapt and provide accommodations to activities/materials under teacher direction to enable active participation; aid students in and out of the classroom, support personal care needs when required, attend trainings, and collaborate with staff to support individual education programs. May implement behavioral plans under supervision, support students with challenging behaviors, and help develop new skills through instruction in individual and group settings; maintain instructional materials and data sheets, and monitor student progress in a safe, positive learning environment under certified staff oversight.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background clearance
- TB Test
- Ability to work with students with special needs
