Job Summary
Paraprofessional educator supporting scholars in Cedar Rapids Prep under the guidance of the Special Education Teacher and Principal. Responsibilities include assisting in instructional delivery and curriculum development (IEP implementation, progress monitoring, data organization), supporting student engagement and social-emotional development, providing differentiated instruction and targeted interventions, maintaining an organized classroom, and collaborating with teachers, families, and school leadership to align curriculum and assessment. Ideal candidate brings paraeducator certification and high school completion, 1-3 years of experience with students with special needs, and strong Microsoft Office skills; open to contributing to a founding team at a new college-prep school.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved paraeducator certification program
- Verification of high school completion or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience working with students with special education needs is preferred
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Proven track record of student achievement results
- Strong organization, planning, and time management skills
