Para Educator (2 Full-Time)

Paraeducator to work under the direction of a certified teacher, providing one-to-one or small-group support, reinforcing instruction, maintaining classroom materials and environment, and assisting with health and physical needs. Responsibilities include preparing classrooms for the school year, setting up learning centers and AV equipment, participating in field trips and activities, supporting special needs students, contributing to behavior modification plans, assisting in PPT/IEP meetings, and transportation duties as assigned. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, a warm and supportive demeanor, ability to maintain confidentiality, prior school-adolescent experience preferred, and eligibility to meet highly qualified standards (two years of college or an associate degree or paraPro). The job location is Naugatuck High School, CT, US, and the position is full-time with in-person responsibilities.
