Job Summary
Paraeducators assigned to the Early Childhood program will work with 3 and 4 year old children in a learning and social environment. Duties include assisting in the classroom, breakfast and lunch set up/clean up, facilitating learning, play and self-help activities, and assisting teachers in implementation of Individual Education Programs for children below age five who have verified disabilities. Paraeducators are assigned non-teaching duties which include a wide variety of activities. This position will work in both the morning and afternoon programs. Location is Clinton Elementary School in Lincoln, Nebraska for the 2026-2027 school year. The salary is $21.30 per hour. Requires 48 college credits or an associate degree, with identified state licensing requirements (CPR and First Aid). Veterans preference applies.
Required Qualifications
- 48 hours of college credit or an associate degree
- at least 12 semester credit hours in early childhood/child development or equivalent
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development preferred
- CPR certification and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- must be 19 years of age
- meet State of NE licensing requirements
