Job Summary

Assist the school staff in the care and management of enrolled students while they are in school under the direction of the teacher and supervision of the principal. Adhere to the daily schedule and assignments, preparing and organizing instructional materials as directed. Implement instructional activities such as reading out loud, small group lessons, and art or music activities. Provide for the care, well-being, and supervision of students with disabilities, including community-based instruction and training both on and off campus. Supervise student behavior using positive behavior supports in the classroom, lunchroom, and at off-campus activities. Establish and maintain positive communication among students, staff, and parents. Perform light custodial duties related to safety and hygiene, participate in inservice activities, and assist with the duties of Paraprofessional I.
