Job Summary
Operators are responsible for manufacturing and production processes to ensure the quality of 3A’s products. Key duties include troubleshooting equipment for optimum productivity and quality, operating a forklift, communicating with the Production Coordinator and Lab Technician, performing start-up and shut-down procedures, paper handling, changing/replacing doctor blades, monitoring the coater (glue in top and bottom pans), cleaning during shut down or as needed, recording adhesive usage on the Raw Material Usage Log, maintaining the printer, tracking Hi-Sil and Black Polymer usage, assisting in polymer feed and threading up, coordinating with the Extruder Operator when leaving the area, maintaining two-way radios, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, exercising good judgment for safety/quality/efficiency, and performing additional duties as assigned by supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and maintain accurate records
- Available to work 2nd shift
- Basic math skills
- Self-Starter with little supervision
- Mechanical aptitude – have demonstrated and understanding of machine logic and the ability to troubleshoot equipment successfully
- Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs
- Basic computer functions
- Understanding of lock-out/tag-out procedures: ZES, IES, etc.
- Ability to operate a fork lift in a safe manner
- Ability to analyze and document SOPs
- Willingness to approach the work with an emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork
- Meet overtime requirements, both scheduled and unscheduled
