Job Summary
Operate and maintain the food pantry; provide crisis assistance with grocery items to those in need; recruit and oversee volunteers; prepare orders; keep records; distribute food; supervise volunteers; interact with clients with respect and dignity; lift up to 30 lbs; maintain regular hours (Mon/Wed/Fri 7:00–3:00 and Tue 7:00–12:00); coordinate with donors and food banks; manage pantry supplies and cleaning; assist with media opportunities and community outreach; work within the Catholic Charities mission; participate in training and scheduling of volunteers; ensure compliance with pantry distribution guidelines and rules.
Required Qualifications
- High school/general education diploma
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs
- Must be able to work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm and Tuesday 7:00 am – 12:00 pm
- Ability to accept instructions and apply them logically and responsibly and make productive use of time
- Sensitivity and respect for populations of individuals who may be considered marginalized regarding their socioeconomic, emotional, physical, and spiritual backgrounds and the ability to work within a team concept and the philosophy of the Catholic Charities mission
