Job Summary
Panel Line Supervisor responsible for assisting the Material Processing Superintendent/Foreman in overseeing the Panel Line building. The role involves ensuring production scheduling is met, supervising and training the workforce, inspecting finished products for conformity to specifications, maintaining safety and OSHA compliance, and coordinating resources to support efficient, safe operations. Key duties include monitoring performance, providing technical guidance to the crew, enforcing safety and environment rules, and performing additional assignments as directed. Required skills include supervisory leadership, blueprint-reading, CNC knowledge, basic computer proficiency, effective communication, problem solving, quality control, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. The position requires a high school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of shipyard and supervisory experience, ability to read blueprints, knowledge of ship terminology and OSHA regulations, and the ability to work flexible hours in a physically active environment. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalence
- three to five years’ shipyard experience
- three to five years’ supervisory experience desired
- knowledge of CNC-based operating equipment
- knowledge of ship terminology, safety, and OSHA regulations
- basic to intermediate computer skills
- ability to read and understand blueprints
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure
- ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- ability to present information and respond to questions
- ability to apply common sense to follow written or oral instructions
- ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces
- ability to work in a loud environment
- ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays
- maintain safety and environmental regulations
