Job Summary
Cut and strip wires, crimp connections, and mount components like relays, circuit breakers, and PLCs onto control panels. Perform point-to-point wiring and cable routing while reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to transfer design information into the project. Conduct functional testing to ensure panels meet specifications and comply with electrical codes and safety standards. Maintain a clean work area and use hand and power tools safely. This role reports to the Supervisor, Production in the Manufacturing department at Precision Boilers, located in Morristown, TN. Full-time, non-exempt employees work a standard shift with regular attendance required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year certificate from college or technical school or a minimum of one year related experience, or 6 month with the department
- General electrical knowledge
- Ability to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints (drawings)
- Utilize calculators and basic math skills in all units of measure
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, schematic diagram, drawing, or schedule form
- Identify electrical/wiring symbols
- Ability to transfer information from drawings / wiring schematics to the project
- Incorporate any design changes into the project
- Regular attendance

- Possesses a strong sense of ethics and integrity
- Must be able to lift and/or move more than fifty (50) pounds
- Able to physically multitask
