Job Summary
Fabricate custom panels, back plates, inner doors, and brackets by cutting, forming, and creating openings for mounting components on enclosures per layout. Daily tasks include cutting, bending, filing, tapping, and punching holes for aluminum and mild steel control panels. Review work orders for errors and suggest ideas for continuous improvement. This role supports the OEC and CSI brands, providing engineered electrical control panels for the water, wastewater, and irrigation industries. Located in Ashland, OH, the position involves using power tools such as jigsaws, drills, and grinders while reading layout drawings and schematics.
Required Qualifications
- experience with metal fabrication consisting of drilling, punching, tapping, cutting, etc.
- experience using power tools such as jig saws, power drills and grinders
- ability to read tape measures
- ability to follow layout drawings and schematics
Desired Qualifications
- experience using a metal shear
- experience using a break
- experience using a plasma cutter
- experience using a hydraulic punch
