Job Summary
Assemble and layout door components per blueprints and instructions using layout trucks, milling machines, drill presses, power presses, fixtures, gauges, and hand tools. Align and fit parts on benches, secure with bolts/nuts/screws, and perform adjustments such as filing and milling for optimal performance. Visually inspect parts before/after assembly, prepare sub-assemblies and screw packs, and maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting quality standards. Requires reading blueprints, attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and the physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with assembly techniques and the use of tools and equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 75 pounds
- Adaptability to new processes and technologies
