Job Summary
Oversee the interdisciplinary team of up to 20 members, managing recruiting, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution. Guide daily operations by planning work assignments, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and facilitating patient-centered plans of care for non-nursing support services. Supervise consultative processes between the Medical Director and the team to execute appropriate care orders, while maintaining 24/7 availability for hospice services. Manage scheduling, productivity, and resource utilization including program mileage and labor to meet budget expectations. Engage in patient care through routine and discharge support visits as required by licensing standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field
- Minimum of three years of healthcare experience, preferably in a hospice, palliative, home health, or related setting
- Active state licensure in healthcare
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
- Close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity
- Exposure to bodily fluids, infectious diseases, and conditions typical to the field
- Routine use of standard medical equipment and tools associated with clinical care
- 50-75% Travel Required
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Leadership or management experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in hospice/palliative care
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care
