Job Summary
Palliative Care Physician needed to join KP GA's team with a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, focusing primarily on outpatient care with virtual visits, while inpatient duties occur at Emory St. Joseph's and Emory Decatur Hospitals. Collaborates with nurses, chaplains, social workers, and clinical pharmacy, and communicates closely with the member's PCP/other specialists to optimize quality of life and functional status. Responsibilities include conducting office, telehealth, video, and inpatient visits; assessing and treating patients; developing care plans; addressing advance directives, end-of-life care, and psychosocial concerns; and participating in education, presentations, and interdisciplinary team activities. Ideal candidates are board certified in internal medicine or family medicine and palliative care medicine, with one year post-residency experience in palliative care and willingness to travel to various locations for patient care.
