Job Summary
Coordinate daily palliative care department operations, including patient referral intake, insurance verification, and admission processing. Document referral outcomes, contact patients and families within one hour of referral, and optimize Nurse Practitioner scheduling by geography. Maintain clinical records for compliance, assist with billing support and denial management, and facilitate interdisciplinary team meetings. Build relationships with referral sources and implement marketing initiatives to drive service access.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years' experience in healthcare delivery or related business operations
- Proficient in computer applications and electronic medical records
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to handle occasional travel as required
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- College degree
- Experience with Part B billing
- Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
- Strong medical terminology knowledge with a customer service focus
- Understanding of insurance reimbursement processes
- Effective data entry, problem-solving, and communication skills
