Job Summary
Set up equipment and work areas for startup, then fill and make boxes while adhering to food safety and company policies. Pick up empty boxes from the conveyor line, quickly pack them with product, and hand-make boxes as needed for specific items. Check product going into boxes to ensure all quality characteristics are met and monitor the production area for trash and food debris. Make decisions regarding materials to be used and perform various other tasks assigned by the Lead Person, Supervisor, or Superintendent. Clean up the area at the end of the shift, including sweeping, picking up debris, and spraying work areas. This 1st shift role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and working in temperatures up to 35 degrees Fahrenheit.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals
- Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting
- Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
