Pallet Repair Technician

Job Summary
Inspect wooden pallets for damage, including broken stringers, missing deck boards, and loose nails. Segregate pallets based on condition and perform repairs per SOP, replacing broken components and fixing nails. Operate tools and equipment safely, including compressors, air hoses, nail guns, and hand tools. Maintain a clean work area and document daily repair counts, materials used, and non-repairable pallets for disposal. Submit completed logs to the supervisor at shift end. Adhere to safety precautions and PPE requirements. Participate in training programs for repair procedures, tool usage, and safety. Operate stand-up type forklifts safely.
Required Qualifications
- Basic English Language proficiency
- Possess a complete understanding of training and communication resources relevant to the position
- Maintains an awareness of loss prevention, security and safety following the guidelines as outlined in the Company Code of Conduct and Associate Policy manuals
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects, including wooden pallets and replacement parts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately inspect pallets for damage
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach frequently
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools (e.g., hammer, nail gun, compressor)
