Job Summary
Inspect pallets at a rate meeting company standards while manually lifting 70lb pallets from stacks to rolling lines. Operate the palamatic machine to separate pallets and ensure proper inspection and separation. Conduct physical inventories as required and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards while wearing all safety equipment during repairs. Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines and assist in maintaining warehouse security. Work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years or more in Carpentry, Manufacturing environment
- Ability to comprehend basic math
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work within a diverse work environment
- Highly thorough and dependable
- Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
- Performs work independently with minimal supervision
- Possesses a high degree of initiative
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
- Work independently and as a member of a team
- Be a team player
- Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
- Operate power equipment in a safe manner
- Lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis
- Use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements
- Work at a steady, fast pace while kneeling and/or twisting
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day)
- Must wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets
- Performs duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Must be available for Sunday through Thursday from 6:00am to 2:30pm
- Must be able to lift 70lb pallets from a stack to a rolling line
- Must be able to lift the pallets for inspection and separation utilizing the palamatic machine
- Ensure that proper inspection and separation is met
- Conduct physical inventories as required
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
- Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
